1. Introduction

Drive-Buy Ads ("Drive-Buy Ads," "we," "us," or "our") operates a digital platform that connects advertisers with independent drivers for vehicle-based advertising placements (for example, magnetic signs, decals, or wraps, depending on the campaign). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). It applies whether you are an advertiser, driver, administrator, print installer, or visitor. By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy together with our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

We may collect identifiers and profile details such as:

  • Name, email address, and phone number where you provide them
  • Authentication and session data when you sign in (including through third-party sign-in methods you choose)
  • Business or organization details you submit for advertiser onboarding and approvals

Campaign, creative, and commercial data

For advertisers and campaign workflows, we may process:

  • Campaign configuration (markets, schedules, vehicle counts, materials, pricing, and related rules)
  • Uploaded marketing materials (for example, PDFs, images, or other files you submit for production or review)
  • Records of approvals, edits, status changes, and internal notes needed to operate reviews and fulfillment
  • Billing and payment-related information as processed by us or our payment partners

Driver, vehicle, and verification data

For drivers and safety/compliance workflows, we may process:

  • Vehicle details, photos, and zone or placement information
  • Identity, license, insurance, registration, or other documents you submit where required for verification
  • Install proofs, dispute messages, and payout-related records associated with your account
  • Location, mileage, or activity signals where enabled to verify campaign requirements (see "Precise geolocation" below)
  • Payment account identifiers needed to pay you (see "Payout verification" below)

Precise geolocation

For active campaign drivers, we may collect precise location data when you enable location sharing in the driver dashboard (web or future mobile experience) during a campaign. This data is used solely to verify campaign mileage and generate impression estimates. Location collection stops when a campaign ends or you disable sharing. We do not sell precise geolocation data.

Campaign deposits (advertisers)

When campaign payments are enabled, advertiser deposits are processed by Valor PayTech through a hosted checkout page. Valor collects payment card or bank information directly; Drive-Buy Ads stores payment status, transaction references, and amounts due — not full card numbers. See Valor's documentation and merchant terms for how they handle payment data.

Payout verification

To process driver payments, we use Stripe Connect. Stripe collects and verifies identity, banking, and tax information directly from drivers as required by financial regulations. This information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy and is not stored on Drive-Buy Ads servers.

Background and driving record checks

Where required for driver eligibility, we use third-party consumer reporting agencies (such as Checkr) to obtain motor vehicle records and background information. This process is governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Drivers will be notified separately and asked to provide consent before any consumer report is obtained. FCRA requires a standalone disclosure and consent—it cannot be satisfied by this Privacy Policy alone.

Tax reporting

Drivers who earn above IRS reporting thresholds will receive a Form 1099-NEC. To facilitate this, we collect and retain tax identification information (such as SSN or EIN) as required by IRS regulations. This information is handled with additional security controls and retained for the period required by tax law.

Communications and support

If you contact us or use in-product messaging, we collect the content of those communications, metadata (such as timestamps), and information needed to respond and maintain service quality.

Automatically collected information

We may automatically collect:

  • IP address, device type, browser type, and operating system
  • Usage data, diagnostics, performance metrics, and security logs
  • Cookies, local storage, or similar technologies where used

3. How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Register accounts, authenticate users, and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Match campaigns, send offers, coordinate production or installs, and manage assignments and proofs
  • Verify eligibility, compliance, mileage, or campaign requirements where applicable

  • Communicate with you about the Service (including transactional notices, support, and policy updates)
  • Analyze usage in aggregate to improve reliability and product design
  • Comply with law and enforce our agreements
  • Automated matching: We use automated systems to match drivers to campaigns based on vehicle type, location, driving history, and platform activity. You may contact us to request human review of any eligibility decision

4. How we share information

We may share information when:

  • To operate a campaign, such as sharing limited advertiser or creative details with matched or prospective drivers, and sharing limited driver or vehicle details with advertisers or fulfillment partners where needed to complete installs
  • With your consent or at your direction, including when you request introductions or share materials through the Service
  • With service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, hosting, authentication, payments, payouts, email delivery, storage, analytics, maps, or security vendors)
  • For legal reasons, if we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets
  • To protect rights and safety, including to protect Drive-Buy Ads, our users, or the public

5. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services that may collect or process information under their own policies. Categories may include:

  • Cloud hosting, databases, and application infrastructure
  • Object storage or content delivery for uploaded files and images
  • Authentication and account security providers
  • Stripe Connect for driver identity verification, banking, and payout processing
  • Valor PayTech for advertiser campaign deposit processing (hosted checkout)

We encourage you to review the privacy notices of services you interact with directly (for example, your bank or wallet provider when making a payment).

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, reduce fraud, and improve the Service. We use the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary: Required for the Service to function (authentication, security, session management)
  • Functional: Remember your preferences and settings

We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising targeting. You can control some cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may impact functionality (such as staying logged in).

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of data, the nature of our relationship with you, and whether a record is needed for safety, accounting, or compliance reasons.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as:

  • Access: Request access to certain personal information we hold
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of certain information, subject to exceptions (such as records we must retain by law)
  • Portability: Request a copy of certain data in a portable format, where applicable
  • Objection or restriction: Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing, where applicable
  • Marketing preferences: Where promotional communications are used, you may opt out as described in those messages (transactional notices may still be sent)

To exercise rights, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your request and may decline requests that are unlawful, excessive, or compromise others' privacy or security.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date shown above. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
